Janet Jackson

My favorite song by Janet Jackson "Together Again"

4 minutes 19 seconds
Janet Damita Jo Jackson born May 16th, 1966 in Gary Indiana. Raised in Encino Los Angeles. Janet is well known for her music career and has acted in TV series and a few movies as well.
She first performed on stage with the Jacksons at the age of only 7. Later she was signed for a recording contract at the age of 16 with A&M in 1982, releasing her self-titled debut album the same year. She faced criticism for her limited vocal range, and for being yet another member of the Jackson family to become a recording artist. In my opinion the most talented Jackson in the family. In addition to receiving recognition for the innovation in her albums, choreography, music videos, and prominence on MTV Jackson was acknowledged as a role model for her socially conscious lyrics. I saw her concert back in the year 2000 and she put on a fantastic show.
In 1991, she signed the first of two record-breaking, multi-million dollar recording contracts with Virgin Records, which established her as one of the highest paid artists in the music industry.
Having sold over 100 million records worldwide, Jackson is ranked as one of the best selling artists in the history of contemporary music. The Recording Industry Association of America(RIAA) lists her as the 11th best selling female artist in the United States, with 26 million certified albums. Her longevity, records and achievements reflect her influence in shaping and redefining the scope of popular music. She has been cited as an inspiration among numerous performers.
Believe it or not Janet initially was apprehensive about starting a music career, she agreed to participate in recording sessions with her family. The first of these, a duet with her brother Randy titled "Love Song for Kids", took place in 1978.
Following the release of Dream Street, Jackson decided to separate her business affairs from her family. She later commented, "I just wanted to get out of the house, get out from under my father, which was one of the most difficult things that I had to do, telling him that I didn't want to work with him again."
After releasing her fourth album Rhythm Nation executives at A&M wanted an album similar to Control, she was determined to imbue her music with a socially conscious message that complimented her songs about love and relationships She stated, "I'm not naive—I know an album or a song can't change the world. I just want my music and my dance to catch the audience's attention, and to hold it long enough for them to listen to the lyrics and what we're saying."
Producer Jimmy Jam told The Boston Globe, "We would always have a TV turned on, usually to CNN... And I think the social slant of songs like Rhythm Nation, State of the World and The Knowledge came from that." Rolling Stone magazine's Vince Aletti observed Jackson shifted from "personal freedom to more universal concerns—injustice, illiteracy, crime, drugs—without missing a beat." Peaking at number one on the Billboard 200, the album was later certified six times platinum and eventually sold over fourteen million copies worldwide! The release became the only album in history to produce number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 in three separate calendar years "Miss You Much" in 1989, "Escapade" and Black Cat" in 1990 and Love Will Never Do (Without You)" in 1991. It's the only album in the history of the Hot 100 to have seven top 5 hit singles.
Janet Jackson was dubbed a reigning "Princess of Pop" by the Chicago Tribune.
Acting in films include Poetic Justice(1993), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps(2000),Why Did I Get Married?(2007), Why Did I Get Married Too? (2010) and For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf(2011). Her shows include The Jacksons(1976-1977),Good Times(1977-1979),A New Kind of Family(1979-1980),Diff'rent Strokes(1980-1984) and Fame (1984-1985).

And of course how can I forget the classic Super Bowl XXXVIII incident. February 1, 2004 in Houston Texas MTV promised a big surprise during the half time show and sure enough Justin Timberlake exposed Janets boob for all to see. The incident, sometimes referred to as Nipplegate or Tittygate was widely discussed. Along with the rest of the halftime show, it led to an immediate crackdown and widespread debate on perceived indecency in broadcasting and resulted in a record $550,000 fine levied by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) against CBS, as well as an increase of the FCC fine per indecency violation from $27,500 to $325,000. Additionally, some commentators saw the halftime show as a sign of decreasing morality in the national culture in which case I agree. I'm not sure what good fining CBS did. I would have liked to receive some of that cash. What did the FCC do with the money? Cover their eyes?
Below is a video with sexy Janet and Busta Rhymes "Whats It Gonna Be".

Anouk - Lost

Anouk Teeuwe (born April 8, 1975) is a Dutch singer, professionally known as Anouk, born on April 8, 1975, in The Hague, Netherlands.

Anouk's interest in music began because her mother was a blues singer. Anouk initially sang at weddings and parties with the band Shotgun Wedding, a coupla things happened, now bada bing bada boom, the world was introduced to her.

now, i was introduced to anouk about a two years ago, when someone very close to my heart emailed me a very sad goodbye, having to migrate to the states to start a real life and do what she always dreamed of.

the song is now very well known to me, just like a part of my lifes' anatomy, you can sesne how geniunly anouk is taking a ride on this emotional rollercoaster, with her long sighs, shouts and high notes...

this is why i beleive in music, this is why i get tangled up with melodic lyrics and rhythmic beats...

I Found this link for the song, and this is the cd quality version, but i appreciate the live version more:

Artist Introduction: Esthero

ok so i thought i would introduce you to some of my favourite artists, so lets begin with esthero... one of my all time fav gals!

this is off of wikipedia: Esthero (born Jenny-Bea Englishman, December 23, 1978 in Stratford, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who currently lives in Los Angeles, California. The name Esthero, pronounced [ɛsˈtɛroʊ] es-TAIR-oh, refers both to the singer and formerly to the two-person team of herself and producer Doc. She claims to have got the name by combining the name of the heroine (Esther) and last line ("If I am to be the hero, then I cannot fly from darkness.") of the movie from Sylvia Plath's novel, 'The Bell Jar'.

Esthero's sound characteristically features her voice over a mix of mellow bass lines, jazzy trumpets, Spanish guitar and hip-hop. She is sometimes compared to artists Björk, Portishead and Sade. Later artists who count Esthero among their influences include Res, Fergie and fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado.

Esthero's brother, Jason Englishman, is also a musician.

now the reason i love esthero is: she is so deep, with vocals that will go straight to your core, i was blown off by how talented she is, with songs like, heaven sent, i dirve alone, windmills of your mind, lounge, superheroes, wikked lil' girls and O.G Bitch... esthero really raised the bar for me...

now i want to post all live video's so you'd understand my state of mind and why i am In Love With Her!

now a couple of studio versions :D

Acid Rock: Clubbing Outside Of My Element

Well, it's not something new... i go clubbing, we all know that, i've seen some of you blog readers in some clubs, wiether in kuwaiti underground clubs, or cairo's finest.
but this time i went to a far streched element... usually i know what kind of music the club plays, what kind of people are there and the driniking/dancing/making out policy there ;p~

any way, my Sort-of-friends took me clubbing, they raved about this place called acid in "Sin El-Feel" which litrally transelates as "the elephant's tooth"... GO FIGURE!
usually i like to accessories, wear a shirt and hot jeans, with buttons and all the add ons, coz being 19 i got bored of the same same clothing attitude most teenagers have, they are either punks, twinks, Emoes, Softies, casual or some other fucked up dressing label/code..
so i made up my own style, which is mainly a couple of styles mashed up together, tough labour shoes with tight slim jeans, shirts and at least 3 hand/wrist accessories, and a hige accessory like a tie or a hat or anything that make a kind of "elegantly twisted" statement.

on the other hand that night in particular i wanted to go clean, normal hair, plain t-shirt, slim jeans, and tennish shoes...

i thought i looked normal, if i saw myself in the street i wouldn't look back, i didn't expect any attention, coz seriously if you dont know what kind of club you are going to, ESPECIALLY WHAT KIND OF MUSIC its PLAYING!
there is no need to go all the way to dressy dress mania!
so we walked in, a very very VERY small area occupied with too much people...
go go dolls wanna be's on a seperate high pedestal like stage, paying the bouncer to dance there, scary hot partender girls waiting on an open bar, at least 300 of your favourite perverts labels dancing on the dance floor with cigarets and drinks, smashed glasses and cans on the floor, divided into crowds, that honestly have one usual thing in common, either that they were an... Unseemly crowd - Like mine is soooooo seemly! - or not so heavy on the looks crowd.

the music, it started off real bad, a mash up of techno house rave melodies, that killed the beat and made it one stable tone, the DJ obviously didn't know what he was doing, having too long bridges and too short riffs, making the crowd dance SO OFF BEAT! i was seriously surprised a place that popular was hosted by such bad DJ's!
but when the other DJ came? Boy did i party!

any way, usually when i walk into a club, if i was the liking item to a certain someone, i would be approached and asked to dance, in this club, if the girl/boy likes you they dont approach you, they wait to be approached, which is why no one was really dancing with any one that wasnt already their friend, well some rare people were bold enough to take the lead... Gotta admit!

sat on the bar, litrally ON the bar, this club was a stand up, which is why i liked it, it forced people to dance!
took hold of whats going on, knew the dj's style, figured out the mistakes on his beats so i could dance... To the beat :)!

any way not to make this too long, i had fun, at first i felt really bad looking, but then people started approaching, so i went with the flow, danced my ass off and broke the dawn...

people, life is short enjoy it while it lasts, even when you are outside of your element you owe it to yourself!

Hey.... Stripper!

Sohodolls are a British electro group from London, England. The group was formed in 2003 and, following various line-up changes, currently (as of March 2008) includes Maya von Doll (vocals), Toni Sailor (guitar) and Weston Doll (keyboards). These members are joined by other musicians on stage.

The band - whose name is sometimes punctuated with a space as Soho Dolls - have described their sound as a cross between "decaying and desperate glamour" and "savagery and sex".

Their debut album Ribbed Music for the Numb Generation was released through A&G Records in September 2007. "Wikipedia"

Well, first time i heard that song was in an underground club and the moment it started i felt like taking my clothes off!

Personally, The whole album is HEAT! i think its the right thing to put on while on a night out, in a bar, in a club, or even just at home to feel that violently sexy vibe run through your spine.

the sexy Sexy video, with westren doll play9ing the keyboards, and maya doll taking her top off showing that tape bra will make you CRY!

Seriously, Its a song to check out!
